BE A CHAMPION, INC. was founded in 2001 (formerly as All-N-One) as a way of reaching out to under-privileged youth in the Houston area through sports, education, and through motivational speaking. BE A CHAMPION, INC. was started by two former offensive linemen for the University of Houston, Jaron Barganier and James Hong. Barganier and Hong both felt that athletes should be positive role models for young people and wanted to provide a program to help facilitate a way for athletes to give back.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of BE A CHAMPION, INC. is to use sports mentoring, motivational speaking, education, and community service to enhance the development of our youth regardless of age, race, gender, religion, or creed. We hope that by doing so, our program will improve society as a whole, giving young people a chance at a better future.

Champion Fuel Food ProgramIn May of 2014, BE A CHAMPION, INC. was awarded as a Contracting Entity/Sponsor with the Texas Department of Agriculture to provide the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). These programs are designed to provide nutritious snacks and meals to students participating in enrichment programs across Texas. BE A CHAMPION, INC. supports these programs with after-school enrichment programs and staff. Snacks and meals consist of all natural, fresh ingredients with no preservatives provided by our partner, Revolution Foods, Inc. At-Risk CACFP snacks and meals can be served if: -At least 50% of your school location is approved for free and reduced lunch for all youth up to 18 years of age. -Schools, community centers, day care centers, apartments and churches are all qualified locations for service. Though the Champion Fuel Food Program, students perform better in school as they consume healthy, fresh, well-balanced meals each day along with homework assistance and after-school enrichment programs. We currently server approximately 10,000 meals a day. For more information, please visit the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Programs at

Little CoogsBe A Champion Little Coogs Program began in 2002 in partnership with the University of Houston. The program caters to past, present, and future Cougars of today. As an outreach program, it organizes events and programs to youth providing exposure to a college campus and game day experience. The program is supported by generous sponsors and alumni from the University of Houston and corporate partners, allowing thousands of kids to attend UH sporting events each year. Through the program, we offer campus facility tours, academic incentive programs, drug awareness, motivational speaking, hospital visits, food drives and youth tailgating parties. Each game's tailgating party serves 1,500 kids.
